Intro

Welcome to Zipolita'z Beadworkz-

" Rainmakerz and Lightcatcherz", where every piece I create tells a story woven from my diverse ancestry and deep-rooted connection to the land. My work is a vibrant tapestry influenced by my Portuguese, Métis, Swedish, Bohemian, Kalapuya, Iroquois, Songhees, Sooke, and French heritage. Each bead, each color, and each pattern is a tribute to the rich cultural mosaic of my family history and the beautiful Coast Salish lands by the Salish Sea that inspire me every day.

I believe in crafting with intention and purpose, blending traditional techniques with contemporary design to create unique, meaningful art. From intricate beaded lightcatchers to rainmakers that sing in the wind, my creations are meant to bring light, color, and joy into your life while honoring the stories and spirit of those who came before us.

My work reflects a respect for the past, a celebration of the present, and a hope for the future—a kaleidoscope of cultures that inspires connection and creativity.

I'm Tina Winterlik, known in the creative world as Zipolita. My journey as an artist is shaped by a mix of influences—European and Indigenous—that flow through my veins. I draw inspiration from my family's rich heritage and my love for the natural world around me. As a creator, I am constantly learning and evolving, and I strive to be genuine in sharing my story.

On social media, I aim to create a space that feels welcoming, respectful, and true to myself. I understand that not everyone will agree with my views, and that’s okay. I believe everyone has a voice, but I choose to express mine through art, storytelling, and by fostering a positive community around me.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Every piece I create carries a piece of my soul, a glimpse of my ancestors, and a bit of the Salish Sea's spirit. I hope my work brings light and inspiration into your life.
